For amateurs and enthusiasts alike the range of wines available in the Loire valley offer something for everyone.  Names like Chinon, Bourgueil, Saumur Champigny, Vouvray may be unfamiliar to you, but they represent just a small selection of the reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines that are produced in the area.

Many of the producers are open to visits and will gladly offer visitors a tour of the production site and a free tasting with the option to buy direct.  Remember you can purchase up to 95 litres of wine in France to take home to an EU Country.

Guests staying at Chateau de Chargé will have the opportunity to taste wines from our range of 40 Loire Valley wines, and we would also be pleased to arrange an itinerary accompanied by a bilingual local guide for those wishing to visit a number of producers.  By arrangement, we can also welcome guests for a more in-depth tasting session to discover the Vins de la Loire or even the Tour de France!
